2. SERVICE OVERVIEW
Personal Care Services provide individuals with support in daily living tasks that promote independence and well-being. Services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual as outlined in their person-centered care plan.
Approved providers may deliver:
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
Support with mobility and transferring
Meal preparation and assistance with feeding

3. LICENSING & PROVIDER APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS
Prerequisites:
Register business with the Mississippi Secretary of State.
Obtain EIN from the IRS and NPI (Type 2).
Maintain a physical office or service location in Mississippi.
Acquire proper licensure for personal care services from DOM.
Hire staff trained in personal care assistance and client safety.
Develop safety, emergency, and hygiene protocols for in-home care settings.
