LICENSING & STATE AUTHORIZATION

As consultants who have launched hundreds of home care startups across Indiana, we at Waiver Consulting Group understand that obtaining your state license can feel intimidating initially. However, our decades of licensing expertise allows us to simplify the process and make it stress-free.

Unlike some states, Indiana requires all non-medical home care agencies – including those offering just basic services like homemaking and companionship care – to become licensed through the Family and Social Services Administration before opening their doors.

The key to licensing approval is demonstrating to reviewers that your agency has the proper foundations in place to operate safely, reliably, and ethically. This is exactly what our experience enables us to help you showcase effectively. We handle every aspect of your license application, providing well-written narratives along with required operating policies, staff training protocols, financial information and more.

In addition, WCG will guide your enrollment with the State Health Department and associations like the Indiana Association for Home & Hospice Care. This ensures you meet all expectations so that you can open fully prepared to deliver outstanding care. Becoming involved with industry groups often leads to valuable education, referrals and credibility.

For newcomers with a passion for senior care, launching a licensed home care agency is absolutely achievable in Indiana with WCG as your advisor. We streamline the process so you can keep your focus on what matters most – providing compassionate in-home assistance. Contact our experts today to begin your licensing journey with confidence and efficiency!

PROVIDER ENROLLMENT

Streamline Your Path to Getting Paid for The Services You Provide

Provider enrollment is the vital process of ensuring that providers like yourself can request payment from insurance payers. Whether you're a Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance provider, we offer comprehensive services to simplify and expedite your enrollment journey.

Medicaid Provider Enrollment

Imagine Medicaid as a program that helps people afford healthcare services. To participate in this program as a healthcare provider, you need to go through a process called Medicaid provider enrollment. It's like getting your official entry ticket. This process ensures that you meet specific requirements and qualifications, so you can offer services covered by Medicaid, allowing eligible patients to access your care while getting reimbursed for your services.

Medicare Provider Certification

Think of Medicare as another program that provides healthcare coverage, but for a different group of people. To become a trusted part of this program, service providers must go through Medicare provider certification. It's like earning a seal of approval from the Federal Government through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Certification means you meet strict standards and can provide services covered by Medicare, ensuring you receive payments for the care you deliver.

Private Payer/Insurance Credentialing

When it comes to private health insurance companies, each has its own set of rules and requirements. Credentialing with private payers is like joining an exclusive club. You need to prove that you're qualified and meet their specific criteria to bill and get paid for the services you offer through their insurance plans.

ACHC Accreditation

Picture ACHC accreditation as a gold star for your healthcare agency. It's like being recognized for your commitment to providing top-notch care. Accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) shows that your agency meets high-quality standards and follows all the rules and regulations. It's an assurance to your clients and partners that you're dedicated to delivering safe and effective healthcare services.

The Joint Commission Accreditation

The Joint Commission accreditation is like the ultimate badge of honor in healthcare. Think of it as a stamp of excellence. When your healthcare facility or organization earns this accreditation, it means you've met incredibly high standards for client safety and the quality of care you provide. It's a way to tell your clients and their loved ones that they can trust you with their health and well-being because you're committed to delivering top-quality care.
