PROMOTING SKILL DEVELOPMENT, FUNCTIONAL INDEPENDENCE, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES
Habilitation Services in Wyoming are designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in acquiring, maintaining, and improving the skills needed for daily living and community inclusion. These services focus on teaching rather than restoring skills—addressing areas such as self-care, communication, behavior regulation, and independent living. Habilitation is a core component of Wyoming’s Comprehensive and Supports Waivers, administered by the Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD) of the Wyoming Department of Health. Services must be person-centered and reflect outcomes outlined in each participant’s Individualized Plan of Care (IPC).
